Rafael Pinheiro

Rafael Pinheiro is a marine biologist with a master’s degree in Oceanography. He considers himself a natural philosopher, due to his interest in the environment and its natural processes. He enjoys observing animal behavior and the weather, especially waves. With experience in marine research and conservation, he spent over ten years studying spinner dolphins in Fernando de Noronha, contributing to the preservation of local biodiversity through science, education, communication, sustainability, and community engagement. He is also a drone pilot, focusing on observing marine mammals and producing nature images for scientific and educational purposes, combining knowledge and innovation to promote the importance of the oceans.
